UPM's Kymi mill today
Kymi is an environmentally-friendly, pulp, energy and paper production integrate with a high rate of energy self-sufficiency and biofuel usage. Kymi produces coated and uncoated fine paper.
The pulp mill's new chemical recovery plant started up in June 2008. The chemical recovery plant increases the integrated mill’s energy self-sufficiency and bioelectricity output.Kymi integrated mill site is getting closer to zero carbon footprint. The paper production capacity is 850,000 tonnes and pulp production capacity 540,000 tonnes.
Kymi employs about 700 people.
