Finland

UPM's forests are located in the southern boreal, middle boreal and northern boreal zones of southern and central Finland. Finnish forests are described as semi-natural managed forests and contain only indigenous species.

The main tree species are Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris), Norway Spruce (Picea abies) and Silver Birch (Betula pendula). Finland has about thirty indigenous tree species in all.
